Statement of Commitment
Sport organizations in British Columbia are committed to creating a sport environment that is accessible, inclusive, respects their participants personal goals, and is free from all forms of Maltreatment.
As part of Basketball BC’s commitment to Safe Sport, our staff and board have completed Commit to Kids training.
Basketball has also signed the Responsible Coaching Movement Pledge. Learn more and TAKE THE PLEDGE.
Basketball BC recommends Safe Sport Training for all its program coaches. The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) offers free online Safe Sport Training to help all participants in sport organizations recognize maltreatment in sport and take informed action to address it.
