U13/U14 Metro League Meeting |

2010/11 Basketball BC will host a meeting of all interested people regarding the estbalishment of a U13 Metro League for 2010/11. This is for both Male and female teams Meeting Date TBD (some have suggested before the end of June, others September) Anyone considering the possibility of having a team(s) join EITHER league should let Lawrie Johns know of your preference(s) -

This year we have a home site for the league - the Langley Events Centre. We will need some other gyms periodically. The cost will be gym rental and referees - exact fee to be determined. It is anticipated we wold star the wekend of Nov 6 (grils), Nov 7 (Boys) and go to Dec. 18/19, re-start January 8/9 and go to March 5/6. The cost (gym rental and referees will be approximate $700/team for the year....................not including membeship All teams must be registered with Basketball BC - can register under Club Basketball @$10/player and $10/coach. SNYB teams are already members and do not have to re-register PLEASE NOTE - teams join the league not individuals - once confirmed a list of teams and contact information will be published |

The Basketball BC 2010/11 U13 Metro League for Boys & Girls will be starting up again in Fall 2010 The criteria for joining the U13 league is as follows (U14 would be the same excpet add 1 year to eligibility): - All players MUST be Basketball BC members - team membership or SNYB membership
- All coaches MUST be Basketball BC members
- Players will be 12 years old (or under) on Dec. 31/10 or in their first year of Grade 7 (or earlier grade) in September/10
- Team representatives will attend a meeting in to finalize all league details
- Individual players do NOT register directly with Basketball BC - a list of teams that they may wish to register with will be posted.
The league will be administered by Basketball BC who will maintain this U13 Metro Basketball site that will include: - Schedule including determination of divisons as necessary
- Scores
- Playoff Structure
- Team contacts
- Rosters will be submitted prior to the first game to Basketball BC
- Rosters will be frozen on January 1/2010 - no additions
Basketball BC will also maintain a roster list and field any inquiries regarding rosters. Basketball BC will supply a trophy for each Division Champions Costs: It is naticpated that costs will be $700/team tin 2010/11 - this covers all facilities rentals, officials, table officials and awards. Boys games will be played on Sundays Girls games will be played on Saturdays Game changes will be made by participating coaches and BBC will be informed for web site purposes. |
