Basketball BC Provincial Teams

Congratulations to Basketball BC Provincial Team Members Anmol Mattu, Kolbie Orum and Emma Wolfram who have all been selected to the Canada Basketball 2011 Cadette Women's National Team (CWNT) that will be participating at the 2011 FIBA Americas U16 Championship for Women from June 13 – 18 in Merida, Mexico.

The athletes were selected after a series of tryout and training camps at the University of Toronto’s Mississauga Campus in Mississauga, Ontario. The team will now fly to Mexico on June 10.

Team Canada drew Group A during the official draw for the FIBA Americas U16 Championship for Women and joining them in the group will be Puerto Rico, Guatemala and Mexico. The team takes on Guatemala on June 13, which will be followed by a game versus Puerto Rico and preliminary round play concludes against Mexico on June 15.
